It's home to numerous beaches, coral reefs and nature reserves, as well as rare animals such as giant Aldabra tortoises.Mahé, a hub for visiting the other islands, is home to capital Victoria. It also has the mountain rainforests of Morne Seychellois National Park and beaches, including Beau Vallon and Anse Takamaka.

CURIEUSE ISLAND: Curieuse Island is a small granitic island 1.13 sq mi (2.9 km2)
in the Seychellesclose to the north coast of the island of Praslin.
Curieuse is notable for its bare red earth intermingled with the unique coco de mer palms,
one of the cultural icons of the Seychelles, only growing on the two neighboring islands.
Originally named "Ile Rouge" due to its red coloured soil.

 


SAINTE ANNE MARINE NATIONAL PARK: Lies about 5 km from Victoria, the capital city of the Seychelles, and encompasses eight small islands.The Marine Park was created in 1973 for the preservation of wildlife, the first of its kind in the Indian Ocean.Fishing and water-skiing are forbidden within the Marine Park area.The islands are known for scuba-diving, glass-bottom boatexcursions and snorkeling magnificent coral reefs, reef sharks and colorful tropical fish.

ANSE LAZIO: A beach situated in the northwest of Praslin Island, Seychelles,
considered to be the best beach on Praslin, and one of the best in the archipelago.
it has clear water and pleasing scenery.The beach is bordered by large granite
boulders. However, unlike other beaches in the Seychelles,Anse Lazio is not
protected by a coral reef.

 

 


CUISINEStaple foods include fish, seafood and shellfish dishes, often accompanied with rice.Fish dishes are cooked in several ways, such as steamed, grilled, wrapped in banana leaves,baked, salted and smoked.Curry dishes with rice are also a significant aspect of the country's cuisine.Additional food staples include coconut, breadfruit, mangoes and kordonnyen fish.Dishes are often garnished with fresh flowers.
